WASHINGTON, DC (October 22, 2019) – CityCenterDC, the District’s premiere luxury destination, is thrilled to announce its eagerly anticipated holiday programming for 2019. Throughout the years, the landmark mixed-used development has dazzled visitors with its imaginative décor, festive atmosphere, as well as its unparalleled retail and dining offerings. CityCenterDC delights in creating the perfect holiday setting each year. With the debut of the “Find Your Joy” campaign earlier in the season, CityCenterDC continues its mission to create long lasting memories for the entire community and there’s no better way to do this than by spreading the holiday spirit. “We’re overjoyed that our annual tree lighting has become part of the holiday tradition for so many Washington, D.C. families.” says Timothy R. Lowery, general manager of CityCenterDC. “In addition to our annual tree lighting, we’re always excited to unveil bold new holiday experiences that are free and open to the public.”

The season will officially kick off November 30 at 6 p.m. with the Sixth Annual Holiday Tree Lighting Celebration in The Park at CityCenter. Touting one of the largest trees in the city, the dazzling 75-foot tree will be decked with more than 150,000 lights and 4,500 ornaments. The joyous celebration will be emceed by NBC4 Anchor Eun Yang. To top off the night’s festivities there will be a special performance by Washington DC’s very own three-time nominated and two-time Grammy Award winning choir, The Washington Chorus. Also, discover two impressive 25-foot tall reindeer made from 37,000 manzanita twigs in the plaza and experience the “Dream Closet” installation by Swatchroom artist Maggie O’Neil, which transforms Palmer Alley for the holidays through the use of imaginative and modern holiday ornaments.

Adding on to the holiday celebration this year, CityCenterDC will present a magnificent new element:
