CityCenterDC Heats Up Summer with Fitness, Food, Art & Unforgettable Experiences.
WASHINGTON, D.C. – CityCenterDC is set to transform downtown D.C. into a vibrant summer playground with an energetic lineup of events, performances, and activations designed to entertain and inspire all season long. From wellness and culture to family-friendly fun and rooftop vibes, CityCenterDC invites residents and visitors alike to celebrate summer in the city—DC style.

We’re excited to bring the community together with experiences that define summer in D.C.”
This summer, Palmer Alley will transform into Celebration Alley—a vibrant seasonal destination that brings joy, color, and connection to the heart of downtown DC. Flowing bands of fabric in vivid rainbow hues will stretch overhead, creating a stunning canopy of movement and light that invites discovery at every turn. All season long, Celebration Alley will come alive with the sights, sounds, and spirit of summer. From WorldPride to the patriotic sparkle of July 4th and the golden glow of long summer nights, Celebration Alley is where the city comes to celebrate. Beneath the brilliant canopy, festive activations will fill the space—offering something new with every visit and making Celebration Alley a must-see destination for locals and visitors alike.
Fitness enthusiasts can energize their week with Toned Up Tuesdays, a series of free fitness classes held on The Plaza from May through July. These workouts, designed to get participants moving and feeling their best under the summer sun, will take place every Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. Also beginning in May, the Farmers Market will once again bring the freshest local produce and artisanal goods to the heart of DC. An opportunity to support local farmers and vendors, both familiar and new, and discover the season’s best offerings.
Experience the artistry of The Washington Ballet with special performances at CityCenterDC. Audiences will be captivated by the skill of these world-class dancers during free public performances. The Washington Ballet will present highlights from the 2024–25 Season alongside an enticing preview of works from the upcoming 2025–26 Season. Performances will begin at 6:30 p.m. and last approximately one hour. Admission is free, with seating available first-come, first-served.
Celebrate warmer weather with the reopening of Summit at The Conrad rooftop. Guests can enjoy panoramic views of the city skyline while indulging in delicious food and refreshing drinks.
The beloved BubbleWorks show will also make another return to Washington, DC, exclusively at CityCenterDC. This mesmerizing spectacle, which delights children and adults with its captivating bubbles, will take place on The Plaza throughout July. Prepare to be immersed in a world of floating spheres and vibrant music hourly, all week long from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
