With February 10th mere days away, let us be the first to wish you a Happy Lunar New Year! 2024 presents a particularly auspicious year, given that it coincides with the Dragon, widely considered the Chinese zodiac’s luckiest figure. Read on for all the special details.
5 Pieces to Present for Lunar New Year
This Lunar New Year, bring good luck to their jewelry rotation with David Yurman’s limited-edition amulets. Dragon-designed talismans and ruby-flecked picks let them make a personal statement.
Sophisticated silhouettes and refined fabrications are a mainstay of Scanlan Theodore’s repertoire, just like this strapless mini that has “celebratory dinner” written all over it.
Stack up the good fortune with David Yurman’s Modern Renaissance Bangles, contemporary 18k gold bracelets delicately dotted with brilliant rubies and pavé-set diamonds.
The mighty dragon takes center stage in Armani’s ready-to-wear Lunar New Year capsule, a collection of sport-led pieces that weave together intricate embroidery and bold prints.
This softly structured clutch—gorgeously gathered to realistically resemble a rose—also comes in candy-apple red, the perfect pick for a style-obsessed reveler.
For an elevated outing, turn heads in this cool and contemporary outfit featuring an unmistakable color pairing: a black body-con dress coupled with bright-red knit opera gloves.
Turn tradition on its head with this coordinated two-piece look that highlights a warped houndstooth pattern, care of Daniel Lee, Burberry’s newest (and the industry’s buzziest) creative lead.
Few fashion motifs are as eternal as the Burberry check. Reimagined in a red-and-butter-yellow colorway on yet another house icon—the trenchcoat—this piece will feel fresh for seasons to come.
Ready to kick off the fortuitous festivities? Join us at The Conrad for the unveiling of an awe-inspiring installation that pays homage to the Year of the Dragon. Designed by local Chinese artist and architect My Ly, this energetic piece seamlessly blends traditional and contemporary elements for a dynamic experience from all angles.
On Thursday, February 8th, witness the prosperity-offering installation in person as it towers over the atrium, along with a lion dance performance and more celebratory activations. Two specialty cocktails, served during this event and beyond, are an homage to the intention-setting time. The Mekhong Latte is an expert blend of rum, vanilla liqueur and cointreau served with orange juice and soy milk, while the Lunar Punch infuses classic aperitif flavors (whisky, vermouth and cherry liqueur) with vivid blood orange moonshine. Both imbued with orange and tangerine—believed to bring good luck and happiness—they’re the ideal toast to a prosperous year ahead.
