A fall KIND OF FEELING

FALL STYLE PREVIEW

A look at autumn’s most-watched fashion moments, through a CityCenterDC lens.

Three highly wearable trends, endless ways to make them your own. These are the Fall 2024 style moments you need to know.

STYLE GUIDE

Checks, Please

No matter how far your varsity years are in the rear view mirror, there’s nothing like September to spur on those back-to-school memories. Designers tapped into that feeling with plenty of uniform-style checks and tartans. The most on-the-nose versions (read: skirts and blazers) were spotted at Rabanne and Carolina Herrera, while a maxi-length checked dress topped with a wool moto at Burberry had longing for fall dressing.

STYLE GUIDE

Coat of Arms

Crisp air, cooler temperatures—fall really is the greatest season for even greater coats. During the FW24 season, the must-have topper was undoubtedly the long-line wool coat. A collection of beautiful neutrals in sumptuous wool fabrics showed up at Dior, Ferragamo, Hermès and Louis Vuitton, bringing a chic finish to whatever else it was paired with.

STYLE GUIDE

Go for Green

The autumn season often brings a cornucopia of fall-inspired hues (red, burnt orange and gold among them) but this time, designers embraced a fresher, more dynamic color for fall: green. Foraged shades of pine, juniper, moss and fern found their way onto the runways of Giorgio Armani, Fendi and Elie Saab, with our favorite being the unexpected deep chartreuse colour at Gucci.
