SUMMER, Scooped: Meet DOLCEZZA’s August Flavors
New Seasonal Flavors to discover at CityCenterDC.
Summer is in full swing, and DOLCEZZA has some exciting new seasonal flavors hitting the shops, including an Opal Basil Lemonade and Peaches and Cream Gelato made with nearby Pennsylvania peaches.
DRINKS
Opal Basil Lemonade
Bright, pungent, and refreshing — made to cut through DC’s summer heat, with opal basil grown for us by Fireside Farm in Washington, VA.
GELATO
Peaches and Cream Gelato
We get Pennsylvania peaches from Toigo Orchards, roast them hard in our ovens to concentrate the sweetness, and then purée them before mixing them into our grass-fed cream base.
SORBET
Lemon Opal Basil Sorbet
We take Opal Basil grown in VA by our friends at Fireside Farm and combine it with fresh squeezed lemon to create a DC summer classic flavor. Expect bright lemon against the pungent, peppery spice of opal basil, with notes of black pepper and cinnamon underneath.
