FALL CASCADE at CITYCENTERDC

Transforming Palmer Alley into a Seasonal Canvas
This Labor Day weekend, CityCenterDC welcomed autumn with Fall Cascade, a new installation that transforms Palmer Alley into a canvas of color and movement. Known as one of D.C.’s most Instagrammable promenades, the space comes alive with a canopy of hand-painted ribbons that shift from bright coral to deep plum, echoing the poetry of fall.
FALL in MOTION
Suspended above the alley, thousands of ribbons curl and drift like leaves in midair. At first glance, the palette feels simple, but a closer look reveals thirteen custom shades layered to create depth, dimension, and a rhythm that feels alive.
WHERE CRAFT
Meets VISION
Behind the beauty is meticulous artistry. Over 8,000 ribbons were hand-painted and curled, requiring more than 1,600 hours to complete. The result is not just an installation but an experience, inviting visitors to shop, dine, and stroll beneath a cascade that captures the essence of the season.
